Science, Jnani, and the Lost Buddhas of the West

Abstract

This paper was submitted to Tricycle, the Buddhist magazine, under the Templeton competition rules for an essay on science and religion. It is a variation on the successful entry (God, Science and Jnani: a New Framework), but with a greater emphasis on Buddhist thought. It also introduces for the first time the concept of the 'Lost Buddhas of the West'.
